Bio: Vitaliy Protasov has built his career through being a successful musician and teacher. While studying at St. Petersburg Conservatory and St. Petersburg University and Arts, Protasov also worked at the Rimsky-Korsakov Opera and Ballet Theatre in St. Petersburg. Currently he works with the most popular music schools and studios of St. Petersburg, as well as with bands and orchestras. Protasov is actively engaged in pedagogical activity and promotion of the ukulele in Russia, organizing the first Ukulele Festival in St. Petersburg, and gathering ukulele players from all of Russia. In addition, Protasov often performs as a solo artist and as a part of various groups and collectives. His preferred style of playing is Fingerstyle, and has been an source of endless inspiration for him.
