MOUNT JULIET, TN, March 2024 – Lanikai Ukuleles is thrilled to announce the addition of Ethan Jodziewicz, acclaimed bass virtuoso, to its family of artists.
Ethan Jodziewicz is a musician who defies categorization, seamlessly blending genres and pushing the boundaries of bass playing beyond its traditional roles. His musical omnivorousness, technical prowess, and boundless creativity allow him to thrive in diverse genres including jazz, bluegrass, rock, funk, old-time, symphonic, and chamber music.
“I love my Lanikai bass ukulele,” says Ethan. “Highly portable, yet still possessing a lovely and balanced acoustic tone that can be heard while playing with other musicians. Oh, and it sounds amazing plugged in, too!” Ethan plays a Lanikai Figured Bocote Bass Ukulele (FB-EBU) and an Oak Bass Ukulele (OA-EBU).
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied under bass legends Hal Robinson and Edgar Meyer, Ethan further honed his skills at Ithaca College with Nicholas Walker and Shawn Conley. His remarkable versatility and virtuosity have led him to collaborate with an impressive array of artists across the musical spectrum.
Most recently, Ethan has been touring with esteemed songwriters such as Aoife O’Donovan, Lindsay Lou, and Maya de Vitry, as well as with fusion band John Mailander’s Forecast. His illustrious resume includes performances with Sierra Hull, The Milk Carton Kids, Molly Tuttle, and Jeremy Kittel, among many others. Additionally, Ethan leads The Ethan Jodziewicz Group, showcasing his original fusion jazz compositions and free improvisation.
“We are honored to have Ethan Jodziewicz join the Lanikai family,” says Jesse Hanks, Artist Relations Manager of Lanikai Ukuleles. “His extraordinary talent and versatility make him a true ambassador for the Lanikai brand. We look forward to supporting Ethan as he continues to push the boundaries of bass playing.”
